On the nose we pick up honeysuckle and jasmine. On the palate apricot, peach and pineapple. Try this wine with shrimp or scallops for a great pairing. The artwork on this label was crafted by gifted artist and good friend Miguel Vasquez from So Cal.

This is a blend of two great Zinfandel Vineyards in Paso Robles, the Cushman Vineyard and the La Vista Vineyard. Think of boysenberries ripening in the warm, summer sun. Think of vanilla bean, of deep cocoa. Our Zinfandel does not hold back; it was made for California Zinfandel lovers and is not shy in its hedonism. Immediately drinkable in its youth, this wine does not need food to complete its pleasure profile.

2010 "el Forastero" MourvèdreCases Produced: 155pH: 3.78 T.A.: 13.9% Cooperage: 100% French Oak Tasting Notes: This is 100% Mourvèdre that is a blend of two vineyards, the La Vista Vineyard in Paso Robles and the Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard in eastern Santa Barbara County. This wine has layered complexity with Moroccan spice, herbs, roasted meat and brimming with red fruits like raspberry and red plum. The finish is velvety with fine tannins.

2010 el Conquistador Bordeaux style blendCases Produced: 235pH: 3.74 T.A.: 15.0 Cooperage: 100% French, 35% New New Release Limited Quantity Tasting Notes: This wine is made from 43% Cabernet Sauvignon from Starr Ranch Vineyard in Paso Robles,12% Mourvèdre,from Santa Barbara Higlands Vineyard. Included is 18% Merlot and 7% Syrah from the Cedar Lane Vineyard and 20% Petit Verdot. This wines first impression is of complex herbal undertones leading to blackberry, raspberry, cedar box and a trace of dark chocolate followed by more subtle nuances of black olive and cassis. Enjoy this wine with a nice rib-eye steak fresh off of the grill.

A blend from the cooler Cedar Lane Vineyard in Monterey County, and from La Vista Vineyard and Estrella Farms from the warmer Paso Robles area. Look for notes of violet, lavender with ripe blueberries on the nose. This wine is dark purple in color, with blackberry and pepper on the palate.

2009 Rancho Ontiveros Santa Maria Valley Pinot NoirCases Produced: 68T.A.: 14.2 Cooperage: 100% French, 50% New Limited Quantity Tasting Notes: Each vineyard has its own distinctive personality, but the Rancho Ontiveros Vineyard is immediately recognizable for its note of wet forest floor, cracked white pepper and rose petals. This Pinot Noir manages to be both feminine and masculine, with forward bold muscular strands of fruit tamed by genteel nuances of roses, violets and minerality.

Scorched earth, minerals, dark chocolate, smoke, chocolate covered cherry, espresso… the flavors keep on coming. A distinct graphite component, reminiscent of a young top notch Bordeaux, adds to the appeal. What really gets you with this wine is the texture. Oh so, creamy and rich with a velvety finish. It’s the type of wine that you just don’t want to swallow. Pair this with a nice ribeye steak.

Its structure is lean and definitive, with all of the flavor components landing in harmony. There is a bright beam of floral, fruit and earthy characteristics throughout that melds seamlessly into the body of this wine. We are particularly fond of the mouth feel of this Pinot with fine and elegant tannins that caress the tongue.
